If you are used to entering specific information on spreadsheets, you might be a Siphon Submitter
regardless of title (SA/ISSO/ISSM/CIO), submit a 2875 form
If you are used to sending requests to the FW team for implementation, you might be a Siphon Approver
if your title is ISSO/ISSM/CIO, submit a 2875 form and copy of AL
if your title is SA, you need to obtain an AL first, then submit a 2875 form and copy of AL
If you did both, enter info and send to FW team for implementation
then the choice is yours! would be best to examine your team's needs first and base your decision off that
send a copy of AL too, if you choose approver.
*Anyone can be a submitter, but System Admin or Network Engineer is most common. It is usually the most technical member of their team.
*Approvers are usually ISSO/ISSM/CIO. If it needs to be their SA, they need to obtain an AL for their SA first.
*We can 'demote' easily, but an AL is needed to 'promote' from submitter to approver - these 'promote' situations are not too common.
*Staff transitions can trigger a demote/promote situation for that team's Siphon roles
*Who can sign the AL for a CIO? Can a CIO appoint themselves?
for CIO - Base commander signature needed on AL, they cannot appoint themselves
