Who they are:
Public Template Authors are creators of reusable application frameworks designed to streamline deployments across the enterprise. Like Submitters, they can define connections and build applications—but with the unique ability to build them as templates for others to use.
What they do:
Public Template Authors can:
- Create applications just like a Submitter
- Design applications as templates—pre-defining roles, services, and connections
- Mark parts of a connection as enterprise-managed or enclave-defined
- Submit templates for approval through the same review process as standard connections
- Once approved, publish those templates to make them searchable and accessible to Submitters
- Empower Submitters to spin up applications from templates, needing only to fill in enclave-defined details before submitting
This role bridges enterprise standardization and local flexibility—giving teams a head start while maintaining control over key connection details.
The Ideal Fit:
Ideal for senior engineers, enterprise architects, or designated template designers responsible for ensuring scalable, secure, and consistent application models across multiple enclaves.
The Persona:
Meet Patty O’Reilly the Public Template Author—creative, strategic, and passionate about building smart, repeatable patterns. She’s the architect behind the templates that keep everything moving faster and more consistently across the organization.
